🎮 Platform decision
After confirming the platform, check price and access, hardware requirements and multiplayer setup.
Check your platform, region, edition and current release status. If multiplayer matters, check crossplay separately; a platform listing does not guarantee that two devices can join the same world.
Check platform availability by storefront, not by device assumption
RuneScape: Dragonwilds is listed for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC through the Epic Games Store, Jagex Launcher and Steam. Crossplay is a separate world setting: the host enables it, and compatible crossplay worlds appear in the world browser.
Before buying or starting a group session, open the current storefront page and check the exact platform, account requirement and input support. Then create or join a test world and confirm that the other platform can see it. If the game is absent from your regional store, do not infer availability from a listing for another platform or region.
Verify the complete platform path
There are three separate checks: where you can buy the game, whether your hardware can run it, and whether you can join the intended world. Storefront availability answers only the first question; the world browser and crossplay setting determine whether friends on another platform can see and join a session.
For solo play, confirm the store, edition, input support, save behaviour and refund conditions. For a group, choose the host platform, create a test world, enable crossplay and have every player confirm visibility before investing time in a shared base. If a platform appears in an announcement but not in the live store or world browser, rely on the live service state.

Use the launch announcement to review the platform rollout and the download page to open the current store links. Storefront availability and regional editions can still vary.
Before purchase, confirm three separate things: the platform store sells the game in your region, your edition includes the features you expect, and the world host has enabled crossplay if players are on different platforms. Owning a PC copy does not automatically make it available in a console store or merge separate platform entitlements.
