The Loom is part of the textile chain; check its operating conditions before collecting a large fibre stack.

Crafting verification

Find inputs in the resource locations guide, manage intermediate items with inventory storage and use the base-building guide when station placement is the bottleneck.

Check the recipe, station, fuel or secondary input, then craft one unit. Confirm the item appears in inventory and that the next quest or build accepts it. Keep a short queue of the next two outputs so processing stations stay active without creating an unneeded stockpile.

Treat stations as a dependency graph

The wiki’s Tannery and Loom entries show why a recipe is more than an ingredient list: a station can have its own unlock, construction recipe, upgrade and operating condition. The loom, for example, has a roof requirement, while the tannery can be upgraded for multi-material products.

When a craft is blocked, classify the missing piece as raw input, processed intermediate, station, station upgrade, skill or quest. Test the smallest craft that proves the dependency, record the output name, and only then batch the remaining materials. This is safer than following a fixed recipe list copied from an older build.

Production planning worksheet

Before collecting anything, write down the target item and work backward through the raw resource, processed material, station, fuel or secondary input, and quest or skill requirement. This reveals whether the next action is mining, gathering, building a station or progressing a quest, and prevents you from filling a furnace or bench for an item that is not yet unlocked.

Use one test craft first. Confirm that the station accepts the inputs, the output has the expected name, and the quest or Build Menu recognises it. Check any operating condition such as a roof, fuel, nearby upgrade or placement requirement. Once the test succeeds, queue only what the next two tasks need and keep rare inputs in storage.

Which station answers which crafting problem?

Equipment uses the Armour Bench, Blacksmith’s Bench, Crafting Table, Fletching Bench, Mystic Forge, Rune Altar and Jeweler’s Bench. Food and potions use the Campfire, Grill, Cooking Range, Stone Range, Pottery Wheel, Brewing Cauldron and Imbuing Barrel. Material processing uses the Spinning Wheel, Tannery, Loom, Furnace, Kiln, Grindstone, Blast Furnace, Sawmill, Stonecutter and their upgraded variants.

If you have the materials but still cannot craft

Check the blockers in this order: the finished item is selected, the required station is placed or upgraded, the skill or quest unlock is complete, the intermediate material is the correct tier, and the input is within the station’s access range. If the item is still locked, record the live recipe panel before following an older guide; the missing requirement is more useful than another full gathering run.

Use the table as the first branch of the dependency graph. The live station interface is the final authority for quantities and unlocks; if it does not show the output, do not spend rare inputs based on an old recipe page.

The Personal Chest record gives a concrete early target: 16 Oak Logs, 3 Vault Cores and 99 Law Runes. The historical Healing Potion record is not a current shopping list: it was removed after update 0.12.0. If a recipe is absent, check station upgrade, skill level, quest unlock and secondary material in that order, then test one batch before queuing rare inputs.

Queue the next batch only after this check

Work backward from the target item through its raw material, intermediate, station, fuel, upgrade, skill and quest requirements. Complete one test craft before processing rare or slow materials in bulk.
